Reach Out!
Reach Out!, developed by the Inspire Foundation, is a web-based service that helps young people get through tough times by providing them with a secure and anonymous place to access information and referrals. It was introduced to students in Years 7-10 through the ICT curriculum.
Resourceful Adolescent Program Adolescent (RAP A)
RAP A was used with a small group of targeted Year 9 students. The school counsellor facilitated the sessions and trained the students to co-facilitate future training.
Friends
The school implemented the program using a train-the-trainer model in which they trained the older students who in turn taught the program to the younger ones. One issue in implementing the program in this way was the time taken to train the older students.
Seasons for Growth
Seasons for Growth was used in a targeted approach to support students who needed assistance in dealing with issues of loss and grief.
Kids Helpline Peer Skills Training
Peer skills training was introduced to all Year 10 students and 20 students undertook the full training. Four teachers were also trained.
