Register Interest in MindMatters

To register interest in a licence to develop a customised version of MindMatters for use in your country, take the following steps.

Step 1. Get more information

Find out more about MindMatters, the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing and Principals Australia (formerly APAPDC).

Commence discussions with your local health and education departments.

Step 2. Register interest

Contact Jill Pearman, National Coordinator, in Australia, on jill.pearman@pa.edu.au. Project funding is not available through the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing or Principals Australia.

Step 3. Application process

Requests for permission to reproduce published Commonwealth copyright material should be directed to:

The application form requires information about the names of sponsors in health and education, the proposed training processes, the suggested translation process, the evaluation process and relevant funding arrangements. Following approval of the licence application, a contract agreement with the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing will be signed. The conditions will cover licensing/sub-licensing, copyright, use of logo, the cost of the suite of resources and staff training, on-selling and cost recovery.

Step 4. After application approval

Form a project management committee. Begin discussions with your local community groups about what material to include.

Step 5. Approval of the adaptation

Send the proposed changes to MindMatters materials to Commonwealth Copyright Administration, Copyright Law Branch, Attorney-General’s Department for approval. The process will require interested groups to conform to particular criteria that reflect the factors that have led to success in Australia.

Attend the Level One Introductory Workshop in Australia or request professional development in your country.

Step 6. Implementation

Pilot and evaluate the resources.
