Synopsis
Renee is a Year 9 student who has been identified by her school as having high support needs. Her school has supported her through building on her connection with her dance teacher and offering her opportunities through mentoring.

Building protective factors
Promoting social and emotional wellbeing is about building and enhancing protective factors. These include:

Background to the school
Liverpool Girls' High School is a large multicultural high school of over 1,000 students located in south-west Sydney. Currently, 86% of the students are from Language Backgrounds Other Than English (LBOTE).
