Activities
Many of the activities undertaken here are reflected in the journal section of this part of the Staff Matters site. The journal activities can be undertaken as an individual or as a group. They provide an opportunity for participants to think and talk about personal aspects of mental health and wellbeing. Those activities that would benefit from reading one of the Useful Information pieces are linked to that piece.
These are activities that can be used by all staff - with potentially universal applications. More specialised, targeted or therapeutic exercises should be undertaken with accredited life coaches or counsellors or under the supervision of psychologists.
The activities are intended to enable individuals and groups to begin to understand some of the currents of thought about health and wellbeing. Activities can be undertaken in any order but often there is a natural progression that needs to be determined on the basis of the purpose and interests of you as an individual. Immediate help for specific mental health conditions or difficulties can be obtained from LifeLine or through the appropriate employer-based channels in each state system or sector jurisdiction.
