Curriculum market 2009
About 600 teachers from ACT DET, Catholic and Independent schools attended the joint school sectors Curriculum Market held at the Centre for Teaching and Learning, Stirling in September.
Teachers were able to look at MindMatters resources, experience the ACT MindMatters Drama Festival on DVD, and make the links to Every Chance to Learn , the ACT P-10 Curriculum Framework.
Teachers took home user-friendly examples of MindMatters resources mapped to the Essential Learning Achievements (ELAs) for Early and Later Adolescence Bands of Development, for both the KLA-based and interdisciplinary ELAs.
In addition, they could see how MindMatters resources can be used to help schools meet the reporting requirements of Australian Government initiatives such as the National Safe Schools Framework, and how MindMatters can support them in the Drug and also Values Education initiatives.
