Principals Breakfast

Professor Graham Martin, OAM and National Advisor on Suicide Prevention to the Australian Government addressed the combined MindMatters/KidsMatters Leadership/Principals Breakfast at the Novotel in Brisbane. Professor Martin discussed his recent work on the Seeking Solutions to Self Injury booklet and how this work links in with a whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing. Professor Martin has worked with MindMatters in an ongoing way over recent years.

Fifty-three educators from Catholic, Government and Independent schools as well as representatives from the health and community in South East, Metropolitan and North Coast Queensland regions attended the breakfast meeting.

Thirty-six educators from the North Coast, Brisbane Metropolitan and South East education regions of Queensland gathered at the Novotel to hear MindMatters National Training Coordinator, Tracy Zilm address the breakfast meeting. In excess of 150 people have attended Principals’ breakfasts in 2010.
