Recognition event 2011
The National MindMatters Recognition event was held on 9 December 2011 in Adelaide. Seventeen schools and colleges from each state and territory were recognized for their achievements in developing and implementing their whole school approaches to mental health and wellbeing and improving outcomes for young people.
The MindMatters Youth presenters were acknowledged for the work they do with schools in supporting young people.
The Honourable Mark Butler, federal Minister for Mental Health and Ageing and member for Port Adelaide, spoke highly of the significant impact schools have on the mental health of their students.
School principals and students presented a snapshot of their school to the large audience.
Minister Butler presented each school with an award.
