MindMatters School Intervention Planner
The MindMatters School Intervention Planner encourages schools to map their current practice for mental health promotion, prevention and early intervention. It is an effective tool for planning whole school practice, as well as for individuals or groups of students experiencing high support needs in mental health.
Schools are able to identify where they are providing adequate programs and where they may need to provide extra support. This tool is used in the focus module Students Experiencing High Support Needs in Mental Health to assist schools with their planning.
Students experiencing mental health difficulties are most successfully supported by a whole school approach. Promotion, prevention and early intervention strategies best meet the needs of a diverse range of students.
Staff working closely with these students will examine proactive strategies for maintaining mental health and wellbeing. Identification, self-referral, case management, online counselling, debriefing, referral pathways, transitions, agency networks, re-entry into formal schooling and confidentiality will be addressed in this focus module.
The MindMatters Professional Development Calendar provides details of free MindMatters professional development activities.
